What is Azure Platform?
Microsoft Azure is a public cloud platform created by Microsoft. The system has over 200 products and services in the cloud to facilitate the creation of new business solutions and meet market challenges. The flexibility of the solution allows data to be processed and stored in such a way to enable quick actions for changes. It provides a number of security measures, affecting the safety of users. The payment applies only to the resources used, not generating additional costs. Azure, along with AWS and GCP, belongs to the group of three leaders in the public cloud services according to the Gartner’s report.
What is the Database?
A database is a collection of information stored as data in the system in electronic form. They are used to facilitate data management and access to them for many users, which affects their structure, functionality and operation. During the growth and complexity of the data collected, database management systems (DBMSs) are used to maintain availability and security. Data together with the DBMS system and related applications form a database system, shortly called a database, which is usually placed in a series of tables, rows and columns. This form ensures efficient information processing as well as the creation of highly advanced queries. Databases are divided into relational (advanced structure, they understand SQL (Structured Query Language) and non-relational (diverse, supporting different data structures). Non-relational databases that do not use SQL are called NoSQL databases.
What is Amazon Web Services used for?
AWS belongs to the public cloud platforms created by Amazon. It provides all products and services enabling the rapid creation, implementation and management of business solutions. It offers huge computing power, database hosting or content delivery services to facilitate business scaling and growth. The AWS cloud allows you to choose not only tools and services, but also the operating system and programming language. Access to the platform is billed according to actual resource usage. AWS is one of the three dominant public cloud providers along with GCP and Azure according to Gartner’s list.
What is Google Cloud Platform?
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a public cloud platform offered by Google. It allows you to build, test and implement your own solutions, using the proven and scalable infrastructure of Google, which is used in its internal products such as search engine, Gmail, Google Drive or YouTube. Access to almost 200 ready-made services allows to build own company environment. Usage costs do not require advance payments as you only pay for the cloud services you use. In the annual Gartner report on the leaders of the public cloud, we find the dominant three, which constantly include GCP, Azure and AWS.
What is Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Oracle Cloud is a public cloud service offered by Oracle. Its offer includes integrated cloud applications and a full set of services within one comprehensive OCI platform. It enables the creation and use of a wide variety of applications in a highly available and efficient environment. Provides full automation tools to help you migrate applications, databases and software, as well as build and run all your IT operations. Built-in artificial intelligence mechanisms allow you to connect the most important business processes, ensuring consistency for all users.
What is a Data Warehouse?
A data warehouse is one of the data management systems that aims to support business analysis (BI) to improve decision-making processes in an organization. It is a collection of huge amounts of data usually coming from many different sources. They need to be properly transformed to make them consistent and useful. The analytical capabilities of the data warehouse enable the use of the most valuable business information in order to select an optimized solution. The main task of the data warehouse is to handle queries and conduct analyzes. This allows for quick processing of current and historical information, ensuring the investment awareness of the organization.
Database systems
Database management systems (DBMS) is a software or IT system designed to increase efficiency, support decision-making and analytical processes by reducing possible errors. The use of database systems improves the functioning of the entire company in the process of collecting, processing and flow of information both inside and outside the organization. The entire system is based on mechanisms that enable the administration of data sets contained in the database, ensuring the security and integrity of information. The database management system consists of a server for data management and middleware that ensures communication between the user and the server.
Cloud Computing
Cloud computing provides IT services as part of data storage and processing. The technology uses virtual space on the Internet – the cloud, instead of local computers. The solution reduces company costs related to the purchase and maintenance of infrastructure in favor of fees for the resources used. The cost model is being changed from CAPEX to OPEX, which lowers IT costs and shortens the time of introducing new services to the market. There are three basic types of cloud. Public, which is available to multiple users and the infrastructure is located on the premises of the service provider. Private, intended for one organization with a choice of hosting location between the company’s headquarters and service provider center. Hybrid, which combines the features of the previous two, by storing key data on a private server and other information in the public cloud.
