Why summ-it We are a long-standing Oracle partner and hold Microsoft’s highest partnership qualification – Advanced Specialisation in Windows Server and SQL Server Migration to Azure. We have extensive experience with cloud solutions – not only in implementation, but also in support, scaling, and optimization. This enables us to advise clients on professional, tailored solutions.
As part of a project for a large financial institution, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the Microsoft Azure cloud environment to optimize costs without compromising service quality. The scope included virtual machines, hard drives, and database services.
Our team of experts identified several optimization opportunities, such as switching to reserved resource payment models, adjusting machine sizes to actual usage, reducing disk capacity and types, eliminating unused resources, and optimizing database parameters.
Thanks to the implemented recommendations, savings of approximately €8,000 per month were achieved, totaling nearly €96,000 annually. The entire project was completed in about three months.
This project confirmed that even in complex cloud environments, significant operational cost reductions are possible through data analysis, collaboration with service owners, and thoughtful recommendations.
