Main responsibilities:
- Administration, configuration, support, troubleshooting of SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 databases,
- Administration, configuration, support, troubleshooting of SQL Server databases in the Microsoft Azure cloud (IaaS, PaaS),
- Participation in implementation and migration projects (Mirosoft Azure, on-premises),
- Maintenance of up-to-date technical documentation,
- Installation of patches,
- Automation of database system management processes,
- Monitoring of database performance, optimisation of queries, tuning of database engine,
- Conducting database audits focused mainly on performance and troubleshooting related issues,
- Implementation, maintenance of Disaster Recovery and High Availability solutions,
- Data protection through backup & recovery solutions.
Requirements:
- University degree in computer science or a related field,
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in SQL Server database administration,
- Knowledge of T-SQL,
- Practical knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery technologies,
- Practical knowledge of replication,
- Practical knowledge of query optimisation,
- Knowledge of English at min. B2,
- Responsibility for assigned tasks,
- Ability to work in a team,
- Openness, communicativeness,
- Innovation and creativity when implementing new solutions,
- Resistance to stress,
- Willingness for continuous development.
We Appreciate:
- Knowledge of MS Azure or other cloud platforms,
- Experience with VLDB databases,
- Knowledge of SSIS, SSAS, SSRS,
- Possession of Microsoft certifications (DP-300, MCSA preferred),
- Ability to write PowerShell scripts,
- Knowledge of operating systems, including Windows Server or Linux,
- Experience in the administration of Oracle database systems and knowledge of PL/SQL.
