Main responsibilities:
- Monitoring the operation of data environments, including Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory.
- Analyzing requests regarding data flows and ETL/ELT processes.
- Monitoring a large BI environment (500 TB scale) – for about 7 days a month, you will be responsible for system oversight in the morning hours (05:00 – 07:30), finishing work at 13:00 on weekdays. The schedule is mutually agreed upon with the team one month in advance.
- Supporting developers in diagnosing errors and integration irregularities.
- Executing simple operational tasks, e.g., running pipelines or verifying logs.
- Assisting in the preparation of technical and operational documentation.
- Participating in ensuring 24/7/365 system availability by performing on-call duties for about 7 days a month and responding to critical situations. The schedule is mutually agreed upon with the team one month in advance.
Requirements:
- Higher education in IT/related fields, or last-year students.
- Min. 1 year of experience in a similar position.
- Readiness for on-call support several days a month (flexible schedule agreed with the team).
- General familiarity with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Familiarity with the concepts of data warehousing and data processing (ETL/ELT).
- Ability to work with technical documentation.
- Willingness to learn and develop in the field of cloud data engineering.
- English proficiency at min. B2 level.
We appreciate:
- Practical experience in designing and developing solutions on the Azure data platform.
- Experience in building data processing systems on Azure.
