Main responsibilities:
- Client meetings and defining test strategies
- Conducting data-related tests (Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis Services, Power BI, MDS) in accordance with User Stories
- Recording test results in Azure DevOps following the defined process
- Analyzing test outcomes and providing feedback to developers and SMEs
- Developing test scenarios (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Analyzing tests, identifying and implementing test automation and QA process improvements
- Developing and implementing data quality testing strategies
- Identifying patterns in recurring errors
- Managing the testing team
- Planning and assigning tasks to team members
- Close collaboration with Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, and IT teams
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data testing and at least 2 years in a role as a technical lead or manager of a testing or data quality team
- Knowledge of Azure Databricks (notebooks, jobs, Spark clusters), Azure Data Factory (pipelines, datasets, linked services, monitoring), and Azure Synapse (Dedicated Pool)
- Familiarity with tabular models (Analysis Services) and Power BI service (data lineage, semantic model, connections)
- Proficiency in SQL (data quality verification, writing test queries)
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes
- Familiarity with test automation and CI/CD tools (especially Azure DevOps, Test Plans)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to motivate a team, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative culture
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Readiness to quickly respond to changes and shifting priorities
- Knowledge of English at the level of min. B2

- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
